The Business Analyst will support the DMSS program by working within an Agile, cross-functional team to serving as a business analyst of a new web-based application hosted in a Cloud environment. The Business Analyst works collaboratively with other team members, stakeholders and end users to define, develop and document requirements. A self-starter who needs minimal supervision, is comfortable breaking down complex requirements, and comes with a team-first approach to the position is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Working with the cloud platform and security teams to gather, document, and analyze requirements for cloud and security solutions
- Working with stakeholders and development teams to identify dependencies and priorities
- Partnering with development teams to identify key dependencies and prioritize tasks
- Work on a highly complex/high profile project
- Act as liaison between the platform and security team and client to articulate methods to implement business needs within cloud architecture
- Develop and document requirements based on an expert understanding of the CODIS system and client requirements
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizen and ability to pass a public trust investigation
- 10+ years’ experience in analyzing, testing, and documenting complex software applications and cloud deployments.
- 5 years of experience with being a Scrum Master.
- Professional certifications in Business Analysis
- Experience collaborating with customer representatives, program management, and quality managers to define and document requirements in small increments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain English
Desired Skills
- Experience in Agile SDLC, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
- Experience working with AWS or Azure services and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of DevOps techniques and approaches to software development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products including, TFS/Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to recognize weaknesses in processes and find ways to improve
- Familiar with Gov't working environment
- Good communication; coordination; organization skills
